Carson Slovak

Co-Owner / Producer / Engineer

Carson Slovak has been producing, engineering and mixing music for over eight years. He was the founding member, song-writer and guitarist for national touring band ArmsBendBack (Trustkill Records). His current band, Century (Prosthetic Records), has toured nationally and released three critically-acclaimed, full-length albums. Carson has extensive experience with Pro Tools HD and an unrivaled level of attention to detail. Under the educational direction of mentor Chad Taylor (guitarist of multi-platinum recording artist LIVE) he founded his first Lancaster, PA-based studio in 2003.

He helped to develop national acts such as August Burns Red (SolidState), This Or The Apocalypse (eOne) and Texas In July (Equal Vision). In 2006, Carson moved his studio to a new location and built the facility from the ground up. After five prolific years, the studio moved again to a new, purpose-built, stand-alone facility in downtown Lancaster. As a musician, Carson prides himself on his communicative skills with other artists in the studio. He has spent years developing a talent for connecting with his clients and producing the best possible performances in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Grant McFarland

Co-Owner / Producer / Engineer

Grant McFarland is an engineer and producer from Lancaster, PA. He is also a well-rounded musician who plays drums, guitar, bass, cello and piano. Surrounded by music since age four, Grant is classically trained in cello performance, has an expansive knowledge of music theory and grew up with perfect pitch. Sharing Carson Slovak’s OCD-level of attention to detail, the two have produced numerous projects together since 2004. Grant is also currently the drummer for national recording artists This Or The Apocalypse and Century.

Known for his ability to produce massive quality with minimal equipment, Grant cut his teeth on producing with a small laptop set-up and developed his editing and mixing capabilities to a world-class level in a very short period of time. He is proficient in several linear editing and programming applications including Pro Tools HD, Logic, Superior Drummer, Trilian and Omnisphere. His enormous talent as a musician affords him the capacity to connect with his clients on a creative level and interpret their art to produce incredible results.
